Northern Hope Partnerships Shine at the Pat Wade Competition
On 6th February, two of our Aspire partnerships travelled to Stoke to compete in the prestigious Pat Wade Competition – a recognised British Acrobatic Gymnastics tournament.
Competing in the Aspire Women’s Pair and Women’s Group categories, both partnerships showed incredible resilience, determination and heart.
Sophie & Olivia delivered a strong routine after navigating a challenging training block that included growth spurts, injury and mental barriers. Although a slightly lower than usual total score doesn’t reflect their true ability, their performance was a huge achievement and a testament to their perseverance over the past few weeks.
Sophie Ava & Sophia performed a beautiful, expressive routine, finishing 8th in a large and highly competitive field. They also achieved an outstanding 8.333 artistry score – the third highest in their category, which is a fantastic recognition of their performance quality and presentation.
We are incredibly proud of both partnerships for their courage, commitment and continued progress. This competition was an important step in their season, and we are excited to see what comes next for them 💫
